The Yellowhead Highway carves a path through a lot of less seen country. Tiny villages, sprawling ranches, untouched forests, wetlands and plains, fill most of our province. Yet most of us see very little of it.
Sometimes the simple scenes reveal the most subtle beauty. A little farm along the yellowhead overlooks crystal reflections scattered among a golden patchwork marsh grasses.

No dramatic sunsets, no sweeping skies, no brooding mountain peaks. Just another sun-blasted roadside view from Alberta’s Yellowhead Highway.
